Moving to KEPLER 22B

On December 5, 2011, NASA announced that they have discovered a new exoplanet that resembles Earth. They call it a "Super Earth" as it appears to be twice as big as Earth. The telescope that found the new planet is called the "Kepler 22" and the system is now known as Kepler 22B. The temperature on this new planet appears to be 22 Celsius.

Sounds wonderful, so I got to thinking...

I’m going to get some boxes from the store and start packing. As I understand it, it could take a while to get there. However, I could probably get twice as much land for FREE, and get some ocean front property for my new home and family.

If what NASA says is true, and Kepler rotates around its sun in 290 days, I could live longer. Just the thought that I am now considered an alien excites me. You know what they say, "You can take the boy out of Earth, but you can take the Earth out of the boy."

I guess I will always remember where I come from, and I will always be considered an Earthling, but who cares. Earth isn't a bad place to be from, unless I find out that Earth is from the North Side of the galaxy, I guess that would be bad.

I also got to thinking. What if there is live on Kepler already?

Well, I’m already preparing for that, and my arrival on Kepler 22B will not go unnoticed. I am sending out my catalog of CD's to the radio stations on Kepler, and when I get there, I will be the biggest musician on the planet.

In high school, one of my teachers once said to me in a joking manner. "You might as well apply for a job with NASA, ‘cause your just taking up space here."

Now I can really make my dreams come true. I would love to stay and chat with you today, but I must get my tin foil hat and boxes so I can start packing for Kepler.
